Our studies during our weekly gatherings have focused on contemplation. We reflect on our own temporality and our mortality. In doing so we are enabled by God for doing the work of the Spirit in the world. Rev. Jeff Sims is doing his doctoral project on contemplative prayer and its impacts on the community. It is not only an individual experience, but a communal one. Part of our mission is our “Contemplative Action”. We must be able to discern where God’s dynamic Spirit is moving and not assume we know where we should go next.
