Free Little Library Build

We've got exciting news, friends—our first Free Little Library is ready for the spotlight, and we need you to help bring it to life! Join us in Central City for a special Work Day, where we'll build, assemble, and paint this small but mighty community gift. Tools? Provided. Food and drinks? You bet. Fun and good vibes? Absolutely. All you need to bring is yourself (and maybe wear something you don't mind getting a little paint on).

As a reminder, these aren't just book boxes. They're colorful little hubs of hope. Little Free Libraries: "A small, colorful box filled with books, free for anyone to take or leave." These libraries are more than just shelves—they're solving real issues tied to mental health and literacy in New Orleans. And we've done our homework, identifying book deserts in our neighborhoods so we can help fill them with stories, resources, and opportunities.
